Britons at War
Britons at War is an e-learning resource to support KS2 History, English and ICT, featuring archive photographs from the photographic archive of the Daily Herald newspaper, at the National Media Museum, and unique archive film footage from the Yorkshire Film Archive.
Funded by Yorkshire Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (YMLAC), the site is a rich and original e-learning resource providing photographs, film and supportive text plus ideas for classroom lessons and project work linked to the KS2 History schemes of work for Britons at War.
There is background information about each image and film, questions to ask the children, ideas for further development and the facility for you to create and save your own powerpoint lessons for teaching.
